Vintage cars(Hats off for the owners for their maintenance)

Posted by Thiru on 7:21 AM
The display of some of the most beautifully maintained cars in the recent auto-expo.
These were fabulously maintained by their owners.
Most of the time we think of keeping our cars in immaculate condition but unable to do due to various reasons, reasons better call excuses.

Above cars and bikes show the dedication of the owners in their upkeep.
Because of them we and our children have the opportunity to have a glimpse of these beautifully crafted ones.
Let this clan keep up  the good work.

Some best quotes

Posted by Thiru on 7:08 AM

On Children
 Kahlil Gibran
Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow,
which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them,
but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.
You are the bows from which your children
as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite,
and He bends you with His might
that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;
For even as He loves the arrow that flies,
so He loves also the bow that is stable.

Our Society and Corruption

Posted by Thiru on 2:10 AM
Corruption has become the most common menace especially in the  Government sector(where it involves government servants).
Politicians top the list but even the safaiwalas don't lag behind in this.
The recent agitation by the well known social activist Anna Hazare and the enormous support by the various strata of the society shows all want to attack this menace.
Every one in this society at one time or other are victims to this.
All of us want to put an end to this but in vain.
With no proper mechanism to address the complaints and   further actions this is impossible.
With the lokpal bill we hope that the required mechanism will be in place and hope that situation improves.
